We have a great opportunity available with a very reputable and stable company here in the metro. They are over 100 years old and are family owned. The company is mid-sized with about 50 people in their IT group and they have a collaborative and flexible culture.

We’re looking for someone who has broad experience managing multiple high profile projects ranging from short to long duration with varying levels of complexity. The role will provide the opportunity to work cross functionally both internally and externally to lead a variety of IT projects. This is a relatively small team so this person will have decision making power and the freedom to run with things. The manager is an easy going guy who is extremely supportive yet not a micromanager and people really enjoy working for him.

Project Management

Manage projects from initiation to project close. 

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel clearly describing deliverable cost and time 
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents 
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team in a positive and timely manner.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project timeline/schedule in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations following best practice and in accordance to company standards.
  • Determine the frequency and content of communications, status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
